DAY 1: FROM CASABLANCA – RABAT
After breakfast at your hotel, we will begin exploring Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco and its largest city, situated in the center-west portion of the nation along the Atlantic Ocean. First, we will take a brief visit to the splendid Hassan II Mosque, a breathtaking landmark of Casablanca with the tallest minaret in the world at 210 meters. Subsequently, we will drive from Casablanca to Rabat, where a visit to the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V is scheduled. Continuing through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to endangered Barbary monkeys, we stop for lunch in a Berber village. Descending through the pre-Saharan zone, we pass Errachidia and Erfoud, famed for pottery and fossil quarries, entering the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. As we approach Merzouga, the vast plateau gives way to the towering sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, a mesmerizing sight. Here, we embark on a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi sand-sea, an unforgettable experience. Spend the night at a Berber desert camp, enjoying the starlit sky.

Driving through the Dades Valley, we reach the majestic Todgha Gorges beyond the central High Atlas Mountains, resembling Colorado with its high plateaus. Along the famous Road of 1000 Kasbahs, we’ll visit the Dades Gorge and Valley. Afterward, we’ll enjoy lunch with a Berber family, partake in a cooking course, and take a valley walk to experience Berber culture before retiring to our hotel near the valley.

On the way to Marrakech there is a chance to stop and take pictures of goats on argan trees by the road and visit Organic Argan oil cooperative that is a form of social and organizational associations that give visitors a great chance to witness the products being made.
